Create and run Soccer Challenge tournaments: pick games, set scoring rules, invite players, and manage when predictions are open or closed.
Your tournament list
Open Tournaments on the platform to see every tournament you manage. Each card shows the tournament name, league, owner, start and end dates, and capture status (Open or Closed).
Actions on each card:
Edit — Change settings and games (while allowed)
Invite players — Send email invitations
Delete — Remove the tournament
Creating a tournament
Step 1 — Basic information
Enter a tournament name.
Choose Capture open:
Yes (Open) — Players can enter score predictions.
No (Closed) — After you save, the tournament cannot be edited again.
Step 2 — Scoring rules
Set points for: correct home score, correct visitor score, match winner, and perfect score bonus.
Step 3 — Select games
Under Leagues & games, expand leagues and check the matches to include. Use Select all in this league for speed. Start and end dates are set automatically from your selection. You need at least one game.
Step 4 — Save
Click Create tournament. You return to your tournament list.
Editing a tournament
You can edit only while all of these are true:
Capture is still Open
The latest game date has not passed
No player has saved score predictions yet
Important
If you set Capture open to No and save, the tournament is locked permanently.
Inviting players
Open Invite players on a tournament.
Enter email addresses separated by commas.
Click Send invitations.
Invitees receive an email such as:
Hello! [Owner name] has invited you to play the Soccer Challenge Tournament [Tournament name]. Think you can call the final score? Pick your matches, submit your score predictions, and compete to win!
Track status in the invitations table: Sent, Accepted, or Rejected. Use Resend for invitations still marked Sent.
How players join
Email link — Log in or register with the invited email; invitation is accepted automatically.
My invitations — Accept or decline inside the platform.
Tips for owners
Invite early; keep capture Open until you are ready to lock; choose games carefully — you may not be able to change them after players save scores.
